Baked Blueberry French Toast (2)

ThisBaked Blueberry French Toast is simple to prepare & is perfect to feed a hungry crowd.I love that you can quickly whisk together the eggs, milk, maple & cinnamon & soak your bread. Top with blueberries. Spread out the ingredients on a sheet pan and Voila! in 30 minutes have a delicious homemade meal…

Baked Blueberry French Toast (3)

I had no patience to soak the bread over night in the egg batter. I wanted french toast at the very moment I thought about it.

Not sure how it would turn out different if you did soak it longer.

Baked Blueberry French Toast (4)

Typically recipes tell you to use day old bread & soak it overnight.Well in this case my bread was fresh & it wanted some quick love.

  13. Marla,
I like crispy edges on my French toast (the better to soak in butter and syrup) and I appreciate how the whole slice, not just the tops, gets crisped in this version.
    Thanks!

I love doing a baked French toast and have a fav. recipe I always use, but my blueberry bushes are putting off so good this year, I knew I needed to find a few good berry recipes to use and when I found this one, I just knew it would be a winner.
