I desperately needed some magic in my life. This book was ridiculously insta-love but just the thing for my bad mood. We have a hurting omega human and an alpha gryphon shifter and of course they are fated mates. Why is the whole OTT ridiculous? They're already talking about making babies on the second day.

My hands roamed. I traced down his chest and the soft curves of his body, touching the fine hairs across his belly. I growled lovingly, possessively. I could only imagine how stunning he would look with a baby in him.
"Leo," I murmured. "How badly do you want a child?"
His brown eyes flashed with emotion. "With you, Mav? Badly." 🥰🙄🥰

Overall, not really an outstanding story or anything, but I assume that the author didn't have that in mind to create something more in-depth. So for me it was just perfect to get out of my funk a little. Mission accomplished.

Gryphon love

Awww. Fate strikes again between a jilted human omega (Leo) and a rich alpha gryphon shifter (Maverick).

Stranded

Leo came for a trip with his boyfriend. He got dumped by phone. Maverick stepped in to save the day. Fated mates find a way.

DNF @ 15%.

Clearly in need of some editing, though I can see some was already done.

I had this downloaded on my iPad for a day or two, and that version mentions they “newlyweds going on our honeymoon together”… which was interesting that you would be going on a honeymoon with your fiancé, while being a newlywed.

Though, looking at the same passage on my phone, where I just downloaded it, the sentence had been changed to “newly engaged and going on an engagement trip together”. I guess it counts for something that the author eventually realized the set up made zero sense.

But they didn’t catch the, “Still, I didn’t think it was strange that he hadn’t texted me” line, even though from the rest of the paragraph, it’s obvious that that should have read that he DID think it strange.

But what did it for me was the second chapter switching POVs, but covering the same dialogue. I don’t need to re-read an entire conversation that I JUST read.

Being broken, lonely, guilty, keeping oneself isolated is a recipe for disaster. Add being an angry Dragon to the mix and it becomes combustible.

This is a tale of Dragons and Human Hunters. Family dynamics that mold the sons into an expectation of who he should be either a mighty Dragon Killer or a Savage Dragon that destroys whole villages. Two tough strong males that have been rigidly trained to do as dictated - kill and destroy, never reveal vulnerabilities.

Fel Fern is excellent at portraying tormented characters. Placing them in challenging circ*mstances often mixed with violence to see what they are made of and who they ultimately become.

I really enjoyed this First book of the Savage Dragons series. If you enjoy MM Dragon romances this book was written for you.

Always carry a well supplied go bag! Leo, was planning on an engagement trip to the Gryphon Palace Resort with his fiance, Terry. Terry made all the arrangements, promised to foot the bill, but was delayed in traveling with Leo. Terry, was not on the plane or at the hotel. It took awhile for Leo to realize his unfortunate predicament. When his confusion reached it's zenith, Maverick Gryphon was nearby and sensed Leo was his fated mate. Does Terry ever show up? Does Maverick make his move since Terry is absent? Does Leo find a solution to Terry's delay? Or is he a no show? Fun story. Leo is a strong man. Nice flow. Well done!

Abandonment finds true love

Leo is ditched on what's supposed to be his engagement trip. He didn't even have extra clothes with him. His so called fiance broke up with him even cancelled return flight. Leo had lots fear, but Maverick fixed all of that. He's a Gryphon shifter and Leo's fated mate.

Besides Leo's ex showing up ticked off like some brat there is no real drama. Even that is like two seconds long. Maverick and Leo are sweet and cute. Another teeth rotting fluffy book that I loved.

The sex was also great. I wish had more time with their child other that it was perfect.

Can a fated mate mend a broken heart? Yeah!

This is a sexy, sensual, loving romp. I was swept away. My heart broke for Leo. Then it lit up with joy as Maverick stepped into his role as fated mate. These two are made for each other. Leo's reaction to seeing Maverick's gryphon is priceless. Yes, this story moves quickly. But isn't that the way with fated mates? And talk about sexy times...Wow! From start to finish this is one great book. You are gonna love it!

There's a little bit more story in book two of the Fairytale Mates series. Lured to a remote island as a n engagement trip, Leo is dumped by his boyfriend. Penniless and not able to afford a return trip, he's on the edge of despair. But the man catching his hastily thrown engagement ring, turns out to be the hotel owner. And his fated mate.
Insta attraction/fated mates. Sweet storyline. Another lite and fluffy read.

More serious but still insta-love

This is book 2 of fairytale mates but it doesn’t need to be read after book 1, as far as I can tell. This one has a lot more writing to it, is not as fluffy and is a good quick read. There’s the usual insta-love and mpreg of this author’s omega verse.

I loved it!

I loved The Gryphon Guardian by Hawke Oakley. It's the second book in the Fairytale Mates series. I loved Maverick and Leo. I loved how kind and caring Maverick was to Leo. I loved the chemistry and their hot scenes. And their baby was adorable. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I read this book using the Kindle unlimited program.

Wonderful Book almost makes me wish I were dumped by my fiancée and sent to a resort island to meet my fated mate who happens to own the resort and treats me special..... oh what the heck I really wish this stuff happened to me

Fantastic 2nd book!

I love this series so much Hawke is a very talented mpreg author. The fairytale mates series is magical and super sweet. If you like shifters and fated mates then you will love this series as much as I do!

This was so beautiful and the romance between Maverick and Leo was fairytale beautiful. The writing was well done and the characters were likable, except for one. I hope there is much more from this author. Delightful.

A very sweet omegaverse story with a HEA ending. These two are adorable and who doesn’t want to be swept of their feet by a handsome shift in paradise. Highly recommended series

Fated

What a great book. Leo’s boyfriend dumps him and leaves him stranded on a vacation island. Maverick is the owner of the hotel Leo was supposed to check into. Insta attraction insta love between them. Oh I so enjoyed this beautiful sweet sexy steamy book.

This is one amazing story about how these characters have found their own way to get a better experience for themselves and how they found their own happiness together forever.

Leitura rápida e leve. Os acontecimentos também são incrivelmente rápidos, o livro todo menos o epílogo se passam em 3 dias. Meio Romeu e Julieta da parte da autora. Eu não me importo com desenvolvimento rápido e mágico, uma fofura de casal.

Super cute

It is super cute and great story. Wonderful short read with a happily ever after. Just what I needed. Love all of Hawke Oakley books and this is no different.

Brilliant

The story was beautifully written the only thing I have to criticise is that it was not long enough and finished abruptly.

If you want a simple book with no angst whatsoever, this is it. Pish, pash, posh before you even reach half way it's all sorted lol.

Sweet Heat

It was a super sweet story. Went too quickly though, low angst, HEA, just the mention of Mpreg. It was a fated mates, cute meet-cute.

Went into this with very low expectations , as I didn't think much of book 1. As a result, I was pleasantly surprised...a cute, slightly ridiculous, story of instalove.
